Leonard Edlund has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Concordia University and a Master of Science in Educational Administration from Heritage University. He also holds a Certificate in CTE Education from Bates Technical College and a Certificate in Accounting from Knapp College of Business.
Mr. Edlund is certified in the state of Arizona in Elementary Education, Mathematics, Career and Technical Education (CTE), and also holds a current Principal Certificate. He has spent 9 years teaching mathematics and CTE, is in his 9th year as an administrator, and also served 2 years as a Superintendent.
Some of his special projects and additional experience include developing and implementing a successful school-wide PBIS behavior program, serving on the district curriculum adoption/implementation team, grant writing, presenting at a state CTE conference, presenting at multiple conferences focusing on at-risk/underserved students, presenting at state Student Services conferences, and serving on a State Legislature funding model steering committee.
Mr. Edlund is passionate about providing students and staff with the tools and opportunities to achieve their goals, regardless of challenges or barriers that may have previously existed. He believes that his vision, work ethic, commitment, and passion will help develop a dynamic school environment that allows all stakeholders to thrive.
Activities Mr. Edlund enjoy include traveling, walking, swimming, listening to music, and spending time with his family.
